We’re Showing Up Together

For Oak Cliff is teaming up with schools, educators, and families to change the story on attendance.

From teacher home visits to parent workshops and community celebrations, we’re helping students feel seen, supported, and motivated to GO TO SCHOOL.

Showing Up Matters For Grades And Growth

Each day in school helps students build confidence, relationships, and momentum that lasts far beyond the classroom.

When students miss school, they miss out on:

  • Daily meals and counseling support

  • Reading and math interventions

  • Classroom connections and celebrations

Missing just two days a month adds up to more than 18 days a year, making a student chronically absent - and that’s enough to fall behind.

In the 75216 ZIP code, absences cost local schools over $5.4 million in lost funding - and resources that could support students, teachers and classrooms.
